Heat transfer is one of the important working principles of rotovap. This working principle is based on the fact that there are countless tiny liquid film layers in the equipment. These liquid film layers have the same thickness. This enables external media-for example, another gas, hot gas, water, etc.-to easily penetrate the film and exchange heat with it. In this process, both of them change state at the same time due to the exchange of heat. This is one reason why we can upgrade the mixture in the stock solution with a rotary evaporator.
Rotary evaporator equipment is mainly used for concentration, crystallization, drying, separation and solvent recovery in pharmaceutical, chemical and biopharmaceutical industries. Its principle is that under the vacuum condition, the rotary bottle is heated at a constant temperature, so that the material rotates at a constant speed, and a large-area film is formed on the bottle wall, which is evaporated efficiently. Solvent vapor is cooled by high-efficiency glass condenser and recovered in the collection bottle, which greatly improves the evaporation efficiency. It is especially suitable for the concentration and purification of biological products that are easily decomposed and denatured at high temperature.
Anti-scald
